Legend of my hairstyle

I always thought braids were created to neat-up tidy looks. http://www.instyle.com/instyle/package/general/photos/0,,20542055_20546014_21081850,00.html

After reading hair articles, I feel very stupid for pressuring myself to achieve tidy-smooth hair styles.
For years, I was disappointed with my oily-thick, frizzy-shapeless, accessory-unfriendly hair.
yeah, it's super-dark brunette which looks scary when the wind just blew.. it weights down in wrong direction which makes itself look abandoned.

Once, my maternal uncle said that hairstyle is the most important for a person's impression.

Since I was a child, and early teenager, my parents always gave me short bob which made me very curious to have longer hairstyle when I grew up. and I did.
then I found that I can't clip my hair like my mom and her sisters do. It's too thick for accessories. they either got broken or slowly smooth down from where I pinned them.
Although its shape is not one of those beautiful, my hair don't not like to be ruled.
I don't have other choice but to cut it according to it's natural way. Now it is jut bangs and flat (but not-so-neat) brunette.
I could never wear a braid or bun to any event because I did not know how to make it neatly.
I could not maintain well the long brunette look that I always dreamed to have, until enlightened just now.

I feel that people intentionally try to look messy nowadays since they can never achieve neat looks without painful efforts.
Well, it is also painful to look messy now. There is heat and chemical in every product to create great hairdo.
Then, what is a great hairdo, by the way? Healthy & clean & comfortable and then ....
Trying to look flawless and damaging one's self-esteem with perfectionism is unhealthy.

Thinking rationally, I'm lucky to have black shiny hair together with deep-dark bright eyes.
After all, the best beauty charm is a smile from pure heart.
