FW: Monday Learning 2

Hope you are doing well. To fight the Monday blues.

1. 'Gosh! Why Me?' strategy: Remember how legendary tennis Wimbledon champion Arthur Ashe dealt with his AIDS sickness?
Arthur Ashe is the only African American to win the Wimbledon championship. Only a few years after this, he had a heart ailment and had to go through 2 major surgeries. Soon after his second surgery, he learnt that he had contracted AIDS during the blood transfusion. A dismayed fan asked him why God would do this to a person as wonderful as him. Arthur Ashe replied, "The world over, 50 million children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to play tennis,
500,000 learn professional tennis,
50,000 come to the circuit,
5000 reach the grand slam,
50 reach Wimbledon,
4 to semi final,
2 to the finals, when I was holding the championship cup I never asked GOD 'Why me?'.
And today in pain I should not be asking GOD 'Why me?'
This week, let's remember our successes when faced with difficulties and let's remember Arthur Ashe..

2.  Real learning starts after we learn to laugh at ourselves:
Rule 1: The boss is always right.       Rule 2: When the boss is wrong, refer to rule 1.   :)

You've got to get to the stage in life where going for it is more important than winning or losing.  - Arthur Ashe
